I have been feeling the urge to start this for a while. So, with a reasonably good night's sleep behind me, some excellent tunes playing, the sprogits playing (mostly) nicely together with the pop-up tent and tubes, a friend arriving imminently and a task that I should have done months ago needing doing with some urgency before she does.... clearly there is no better time to start a blog!
So, introductions. We are a family of 5, plus various assorted pets. Me, Celtic Bells and Daddy Bells (who has yet to find himself a naem that he is comfortable with and will probably change it randomly when he finds one), and our 3 sprogits - a girl, Little Clanger; a boy, Small Clanger and another girl, Tiny Clanger.
We made the decision this year to home educate the sprogits and deregistered them from the local primary school at the end of the summer term. Needless to say we are still exploring how our home educating life will take shape: how we will balance it with each of our jobs; how we will incorporate it into the important task of continually improving ourselves; and the ever increasing financial pressures that are hitting the majority of families in the UK at the moment.
There are a number of things I would like to do as part of this journey, both actually travelling the road and also attempting to chronical it on here (we are both terrible at keeping diaries). I will reveal them as we go. If I remember.
Finally, I warn you in advance there may be some, lots, all or none of the following: uncontrollable randomness, confusion, unforgivable spelling mistakes, cluelessness, hilarity, crafty creations, stories from all the family, inspiration, musical ecclecticism, sarcasm, pictures, musings, sparkle, wet elbows and mess.
