getting in the seasonal spirit

So, we had a sudden realisation that it's almost Christmas... cue Saturday evening shopping spree on eBay (managed to get a few things that the kids will love). Actually we are mostly sorted. Our first priority is always the kids, and pretty much anyone else kind of comes as an afterthought.

Yesterday we put the tree up, which caused great delight as in the January sales this year we bought new tree decorations to match our new living room decor so there were whoops of joy at the prospect of hanging up snowflakes and icicles along with the usual baubles. We are definitely now feeling in a more seasonal mood :)
