and a happy Yule was had by all

I know, I know, I've been lapse. I am going to try really hard to get back into the blogging but can't make promises! I have been suitably admonished by my sister for not keeping her updated through blogging so... *waves hands* sorry!! ;) I'll do another post to catch up on various home ed things that have happened recently.

This year we wanted to celebrate Yule rather than Christmas. We didn't manage to do all the things we had wanted to do but I guess Rome wasn't built in a day! ;) this morning we lit a candle for the Solstice, having brought out our winter fairy a few days early.

We have had a rather lovely day together as a family :) this morning was filled with joyous present opening, where everybody got what they had wished for... a hobby horse...

... a doorstop shaped like a dog and a lion dressing up outfit ...

... and a microscope.

There were also a few bits which weren't asked for but went down well...

... and we bought ourselves Dungeons and Dragons too, to play together as a family. The sprogs knew that this was coming and were very excited to get started so once Podd had brushed up on bring DM we got started, and managed to do 2 adventures before dinnertime.
