what we did in London

This is the first of two posts, explaining why we went silent a couple of weeks back. Last week it was Small's birthday. He had asked that for his birthday, instead of a party, we go to visit our friends in London... so that's exactly what we did :) Instead of writing reams about what we did, I'll just post a few pictures.

Day 1 - the natural history museum

And of course we had birthday cake too! :)

Day 2 - the changing of the guard and the science museum

We were at just the wrong angle for the changing of the guard and the sun was in our eyes for most of it. This the best picture we got.

On the way back to the tube station we saw a man playing the tuba along to some music, and every time he played a note a flame shot out of the bell, which the sprogits thought was amazing!

While travelling we made good use of our "out and about" bag, which has various things to do in it, one of which is a town in a bag:

This is quite difficult to use successfully on a rocking, jiggling train, so I was impressed with the sprogits perseverance with their towns. They also drew mountains of drawings but I've not managed to photograph those yet.
