more watercolour painting

Not sure what I expected really. Things in this house tend to go in obsessional phases. So, this morning, after getting some sheets of paper and folding and cutting them to make snowflake patterns, I'm not really sure why I was then taken by surprise when Small Clanger said "can I paint mine with the water paints?"

Out came the paints and overalls again. Of course once they'd finished painting their snowflakes they then painted some more pictures. We've now lost the kitchen worktop under paintings again. They are mostly still wet, but there are a couple I wanted to share. These are the snowflakes (will confess now to cutting Tiny Clanger's for her):

LC's = bottom, SC's = left, TC's = top right

Little Clanger decided, without any prompting from me, that she wanted to paint a "from life" picture of our garden:

"Our garden" by Little Clanger

Strictly it's not from life, as she has painted herself in the garden, which clearly she wasn't, but nevertheless I am impressed. She's got the slide in, and the scooter and football abandoned on the grass, and the neighbour's house int he background. Even the sun is impressed with what she's done! :) Finally, I took the opportunity to finish a painting I started yesterday:

Have a good Saturday everyone! :)
